I downloaded the 2nd movie, it wasn't very good.
Different director and different writers, very different tone in plot and story, the whole thing just looked very uncinematic-looked like television.

As for the books, I seem to find some very conflicting reviews. Some saying its good, some saying its turgid. Some praising its content, some denouncing it as exploitation and not feminist at all.
