I had that surgery too.

I find that a lot of people prefer a smooth-to-well-groomed nether region preferable to a jungle.
Also more comfortable in hot summer weather.
I have shaved my legs for nearly 20 years. Nice for both biking and fetishistic reasons.
I hope to avoid midlife crisis by never really growing up in the first place. It has worked pretty well thus far.
