what r the inputs??? with equipment like that sometimes the IOs are from the same 1/4 inch jack plug. This is usually done with a tip/ring/sleeve jack rather than say a tip/sleeve like an instrument cable. With these you are able to have the signal travel both ways down the cable with the correct wiring configuration. An example would be plugging an outboard compressor into the insert of a mixing console (in an unbalanced config) the tip of the 1/4 jack (depending on the console) sends the signal to the compressor input, the compressor output then returns the signal down the ring part of the 1/14 inch jack.
