White Hills / Dogntank / The Kits

White Hills
'Their excellent brand new CD, "Glitter Glamour Atrocity", pilots Hawkwind starships fueled on kraut-rock drone, wah-wah pedal freak out, and post-rock ambience,' says New York's Village Voice. Their heavy space rock mixes up just the right amounts of psychedelia with hypnotic grooves to make up an intoxicating other-worldly madness. Last year the band made their debut performance in the UK, supporting Julian Cope (who had previously released a remixed version of the band’s debut,"They've Got Blood, Like We've Got Blood") at Koko. On top of releasing their sophomore album, they continue to blow away audiences up and down the East Coast of the USA and are back in the studio laying down tracks for their next album before making their second visit to the UK.

Døgntank
“A power trio formed by Spiritualized and Brain Donor's legendary guitarist Doggen, Charlie Wayman and Antronhy OH. It’s just as you would imagine - a guitar blitz worthy of its name. The album features 12 songs of unrestrained but always melodic sonic attack. Most surprising, though, is the uncanny beauty of Doggen's lead vocal, which veers between the dulcet tones of Plastic Ono Band-period John Lennon and Kiss' Paul Stanley. Those of you expecting High Rise-style freakouts please be aware that this is an album of MC5/Montrose-styled hard rock with the emphasis being at all times on the songs themselves.” - Julian Cope

The Kits
These Melbourne natives have a sound that’s a blend of garage rock’n’roll from various parts of the globe. Their latest release, This Is Your Lung, showers you with a wall of howling vocals, thick, mud-drenched guitars and pounding rhythms. They teeter on the brink, like the sensation you get when you almost lose control of your car, just to recover in the nick of time. The Kits push the limits set by their predecessors - which include the likes of The Saints, The Von Bondies, The Hells and International (Noise) Conspiracy. Their music is as much inspired by the sounds of Detroit, Sweden, New York and other centres of rock’n’roll decadence as by the Melbourne scene. After sharing stages with Wolfmother, The Saints and The Casanovas amongst others, they decided to leave their home for the madness of London from where they’re preparing for an all out assault.
