Come to think of it, I don't compare them either. Their variety is such that many bands can't even claim that diversity.

I guess if pressed, the only band I can think of with such diversity from song to song, album to album would be that Liverpool insect band that changed pop music as we know it starting in the early 60s.

I saw John Fogerty last December and being a great show, I never even thought of Sonic Youth.
