Founded in 2012, the group is pushing the envelope with music that on the one hand stirs in the barrel of the 90s and on the other hand manages to give it a twist in a contemporary, energetic and powerful way.
Besides one of the founding members, Michaël Goffard (guitar, vocals), the group currently consists of Elliot Stassen (bass, additional vocals) and Bryan Havart (drums), without Damien Aresta. One of the smallest line-ups, but you don't hear any of that on the already fifth album Mouche. In just under 40 minutes they present 9 new tracks, which do not lie. They have lost nothing of their power and energy as well as their eloquence, depth, urgency and compellingness and even seem stronger than ever.
If you like bands like Gone Bald, Drive Like Jehu, Sonic Youth, Unsane, Trumans Water, Godheadsilo, Metz, Vandal X and Further, you should definitely give It Anita a listen. How overwhelming, dirty and addictively good!

Als je het hebt over de betere hedendaagse noisebands, dan mag het Belgische It It Anita daar zeker niet ontbreken. Eén van de kleinste bezettingen, maar daar hoor je niets van terug op het alweer vijfde album Mouche. Ze brengen in een krappe 40 minuten namelijk 9 nieuwe tracks, die er niet op liegen. Zowel aan kracht en energie als zeggingskrach, diepgang, urgentie en meeslependheid hebben ze niks ingeboet en lijken ze zelfs sterker dan ooit. Als je van bands als Gone Bald, Drive Like Jehu, Sonic Youth, Unsane, Trumans Water, Godheadsilo, Metz, Vandal X en Further houdt, dan moet je zeker It It Anita eens beluisteren. Wat overdonderend, smerig en verslavend goed!
