that may very wekll be true.
geffen at first was pushing SY very hard, and after a while they just seemed to fade in their support, kinda using SY as their boutique avant band, one that they can use to get other acts into geffen label,
I do not think that thurston meant the songs were compromised, or the music, but maybe everyhing that gpes with it, like touring where egeffen wanted them to tour, the packagingof albums, and the imagery. who knows?
geffen did not make any effort to promote SY's videos that is for sure.
