i was talking shit when i said that.

in truth, i'd be happy with a modest beach house, a small new york apartment, and time to write. but i wouldn't wanna buy a house-- repairs, property taxes, zoning disputes-- let that shit be somebody else's problem, not mine. i'll rent, and when i'm tired of the place, i'll move to the next one. owning shit = a big pain in the ass.
