West european and American music (from Beatles to Cardigans, from Elvis to Nirvana) would sound all the same to an alien from outerspace.
The alien would say: "The songstructures are all the same, the singers all sound alike, the instruments are all equal, the studios that produced them are all the same, and bands all look alike."
"So whats the big deal with music? Why does anyone care?"
