i just didn't like the few tracks in the middle (6-9) with the wack r&b hooks. i replaced them with the bonus tracks, which all happen to be album worthy material, and now it's the rawest album ever to me. that 2nd verse on "Stay" is too fucking real. i'd also recommend you to get "Trust" which is like the 20th track on the iTunes japanese deluxe edition or something, pifftastic.
and you're right, it's so mature. rapidly turning out to be my 2nd or 3rd fav album he ever made. it's amazing to see his development from Illmatic to this.
