I listened to Pretty Hate Machine, along with the Cure Mixed Up, for my entire trip to Puerto Rico after I graduated in 1991. My dad had passed away that February and it was a weird time. Hearing the Reznor getting into it really helped me out.
I wold go to the freak nightclub in Houston, Numbers, and dance to insane music, and they would play that NIN Get Down Make LOve with the crazy video showing clips from Clockwork Orange. That shit was awesome.
I stopped giving a fuck about NIN soon after that. I missed the danceability of their earlier stuff....
