I visit exhibitions, not necessarily art-related ones, more than I go to gigs now.
Yesterday I checked out Derek Jarman's 'Black Paintings'' at the Wilkinson Gallery, which had some excellent works amidst several mediocre ones. Very much like his filmography.

Last Sunday I went to see the installation Jordan Wolfson put on at the Chisenhale Gallery. I loved the huge white room, including the carpet. I can't remember much about the video though.

On the same Sunday I also went to a photography exhibition at the Mile End Pavilion called ''Slowing Down''. Being a group exhibition the quality varied. I enjoyed the pictures which seemed to have been taken by the more amateurish photographers more than the slicker, professional-looking ones, which to me often seem to be presented in a way that may be appealing to the potential (clueless) buyer even though there really is nothing special to them.

What about you. Did you go to any exhibitions of late?
