I disagree with your assertion that they've done something different on this record. It's a continuation of what they were doing before the split.

No problem with that though. And I'll keep listening to it.

I think I'm probably a bit blasé about what a great songwriter Curt is. And I still love his voice and guitar playing.

BTW, I'm determined I'm going to get those cassettes boxed up this weekend, to get a shipping price for you.
