yes! i rewatched that just the other day, i remember being completely dazzled by it years ago, and now less enthralled it's really not a good movie in terms of structure, but she-- she's from another planet! so in the end it works.
also, found out about the writer of the original novella. then i realized the movie didn't work 100% because some important things had been omitted. now i want to find out more about her (her dad was a nazi. i'm serious.)
