I have The Roots Come Alive and The Roots Present... neither come CLOSE to how good they sound live if you see them for real.

Kanye's Storytellers is hilarious.

Jay's Unplugged is good. A nice companion to Blueprint. And The Roots are on it. It might be my fav hip hop live album. But it's still not a 10 y'know?

The worst hip hop live album ever is ODB's Free To Be Dirty. Just saying.

I've got a Rocky bootleg live album. It's pretty good. But like this Cole, I don't know. Something doesn't work w/ just the audio I think. To much hypemen or letting the audience finish a line. It might be nice in person, but not on tape.

But I agree - there's phenomenal live performances you see on TV or youtube or whatever... Kanye & Common on Chappelle's Show... Odd Future or Kendrick on Fallon, right? But somehow the LIVE ALBUM is so hard to pull off.
