since no one else will reply and this thread is still kinda hanging out down here, guess i'll bite.
set was kinda brief and he was joined by john moloney of sunburned. pretty much all were new songs, all sounding pretty similar to thurston-composed stuff from murray st/nurse/rather ripped. kinda dirgy, with pretty little plinkings in between, maybe even a noisy rockin part (!).
first half of the set was acoustic and then he switched to electric. moloney played basic, hard hitting beats a la steve on psychic hearts. not much banter between songs, and of course the song titles they threw out there were pretty much of the in-joke/improvised nonsense variety. what came as a nice surprise was two psychic hearts songs, queen bee and psychic hearts, which closed out his set.
anyway, mv+ee's set was pretty alright too, although it seemed like a lot of the people were just there for thurston. to be expected though i guess.
sorry kind of a half-assed review, and no pix. there were folks taking video though, so keep yr eyes out for that.
