a thousand leaves has an experiemental blend that meshes amazingly with their songwriting, which becomes more epic and open-ended here. i love their use of pedals and their structures. a beautiful album.

murray street finds them relying on instrumental sections, yet for the first time, in it's grand majority it's not improvised noise, instead it's carefully constructed clean passages and interplay. it has more an emphasis on that yet, most songs are very song oriented and traditional in a sense.

both albums have a lot more in common than people realize
