Sound there has always been good enough for me. I saw Dinosaur Jr there and they were LOUD, same with Mono and Sunn 0))). For a (fairly) small venue, it's got fantastic sound quality, imo.

Are you talking about the ABC2? There are two stages, there is a much bigger one, the ABC1 (with a mirrorball) in the building that's about the same size as the Barrowlands. There's no way they'd be on the smaller stage..
