"A Mixtape For Your Listening Pleasure - AKA Glice"

ok, i'm finished with side 1.

first off, the tape came without a booklet leaving the case transparent, both the case and the tape itself were decorated with figures drawn with liquid paper (white pen corrector), each figure colored later; this technique reminds me of the tapes or other artistic things girls did back when i was in 6th/7th grade. the figures seem almost african, it's like eurodance african decoration.

Side 1:

Track One: An organ starts, then it plays a riff similar to Sonny & Cher's "I Got You Babe" but with polyrhythmic drums, the voice is kinda Lydon-esque even thought i doubt it's PIL. Pretty cool peaks and valleys throughout the song.

Track Two: Hip-hop beat with a G-Funk style Moog riff; R&B-like girl singer, i think it's Madonna, Secret-era, but it doesn't sound exactly like Madonna (although i'm pretty sure i hear "Secret" in the background right after this song, so it might be her). It kinda makes me nostalgic, reminds me of 6th grade and when everyone i knew listened to MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice (i was into Queen, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc.) and, above all, the soundtrack to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. The song is awesome, very well written and everything, i like Madonna but i haven't really delved too deeply into her stuff since her stuff is kinda hit or miss...if it's not Madonna then i'd love to know who sings this.

Track Three: Starts with some sort of carnival music in the background then leaves a picked string instrument with guitar qualities after being joined by a sitar-like instrument, i could go on and say it's a guitar and sitar duo but i won't go there since the "guitar" has oriental cadences to the sound...on closer listen i'm pretty sure it's an oud, i love the oud i want to buy me one, i've gone to those Libanese and Syrian restaurants with live entertainment and it usually features someone playing the oud, i've heard some mean riffs played on that!...a young cute belly dancer flirted with me once when i was out with my mom and aunts in family reunion thing but that's another story; very meditative, delicate and lenghty, tricky track since the other instrument (or perhaps there's a third instrument in there?) has some banjo qualities to it and it's confusing me, perhaps it's dueling ouds?. When i listen to music like this, i'm more into drones and heavy atmospheres more than minimalistic picking, but it's a nice change; i love that, since it's only two instruments without any backgroud or rhythm, the hiss of the tape becomes a lovely coat and part of the piece.

Track Four: Sounds like the Blood Brothers meet System Of A Down, i remember i read on a thread that another of your tapes had s similar song, perhaps it's the same? The singer dudes have a bit more of a Nick Cave voice but still have the Eastern Europe singing voice SOAD have, the screams are very post San Diego hardcore and some of the riffs and structures are downright Fugazi-esque, i'd be incredibly surprised if this band wasn't from the US. The track is good, very schizophrenic, sounds like something i would have loved ten years ago when i was getting into the Deftones and stuff like that, there's radio feeds and tapes going at certain sections; it does ramble a little and goes for too long though.

Track Five: Static and some kind of AM radio heavily muffled narration transmissions, some humming and the sound of a pause button going off constantly, some beeping going and stuff adding little by little, it reminds me a bit of Pengo.
