Severian, you misunderstand, I don't have literal beef with Eastcoast, indeed I listen to all kinds of music from the eastcoast..

I got Slick Rick, Dead-Prez, Outkast, Tribe Called Quest, MC Tree, some Biggie, Busta Rhymes, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, RZA, KRS-One, Talib Kweli, Common, Mos Def...

BUT, when rappers from the west who put out beats and raps that are so succinctly westcoast in sound to the point of being a throwback totally do an artistic 180 and put out something sounding, well, blatantly pandering towards commercialism, I don't like it, aesthetically not politically. I'm talking about the SOUND of the music, not necessarily the geography
