i think it's the other way around, without the asheton bros. iggy would have been another drugged out freak from the 60's. there's nothing that's not completely cubist coming out of ron asheton's guitar, not a thing that's not pulverizing about rock action's drumming.
iggy was fucking poetic and brutal with the stooges, but, then again, so was arthur brown. and without them, iggy is just a boring fuck that's just a shadow of what he was with the stooges.
