Just a few off the top of my head... some may sound absurd, but keep an open mind. I'm an old fart and have been listening to music for a long time...

Broken Social Scene-"Anthems for a 17 year old Girl"
Yo La Tengo- "Green Arrow"
The Cure- "Plainsong"
Tom Petty (& the Heartbreakers? Not sure)- "Learning to Fly"
Kim Carnes- "Bette Davis Eyes"
Pavement- "Texas Never Whispers"
The Beatles- "Blackbird"
Pearl Jam- "Nothingman" (I don't even LIKE this fucking song, but the chord arrangement gets me every time)
DCFC- "Movie Script Ending" (Another one I don't even like, but it's about a town I know very well, and it paints a pretty damn good picture of the experience of being a scenester in the '90s)

And more and more and more... some I love, some I hate, some I will never listen to again.
