Oh, of course, not questioning yer hoodie/anorak knowledge. But again (labouring the point as per usual), those coats were nowhere to be seen in the UK until the early 90's, where K Shields did indeed sport one around the time of "Loveless". And if anyone would have called MBV an anorak band then, they would have laughed off the face of the earth. Funnily enough, those coats were sported far more by rave/dance/hip-hop outfits in the UK at the time.
