Literate trash cans? I don't even know what that means. In fact, I suspect it means nothing. Look. I'm being honest - I don't like poetry unless it's made by someone about whom I can have an opinion without feeling guilty about disliking it. I like Rhys, and I don't want to dislike his poetry, so I'm refusing to read it. I have so very, very many friends who give/ have given me their shit, indulgent, masturbatory, cod-romantic/ pseudo- postmodern bollocks that I have simply given up reading poetry unless it's by someone who's already published, which means that there is some kind of shit-filter between it and me. Go to Poetry.com, read everything on there, and then try and tell me that I'm not right.
