A hand emerges from the sheets of a twin bed and hits the snooze alarm. Repeat ten times.
One hour later: Frank stumbles into the bathroom of his cramped New York apartment. He strokes the gray flecked stubble on his square-jawed Italian mug. He grabs a hair brush, puts it up to his mouth and stares intensely into the mirror and begins to sing.
This is the end

Frank puts down the brush and turns off the light. He goes back into his bedroom and slips under the covers. Soon, he is asleep once again, the cheers of a phantom crowd still ringing in his ears.
