anyway. I don't know that he'll ever sound like he did in 2007/2008 again. That was a different time. He was crazy hungry y'know? He had a lot to prove.

I think Carter IV sounds like he's TRYING to go back a bit, but it's different now. He's a big star. Yr little sister knows him. Maybe yr mom does. He also birthed Drake and Nikki. It's just a different climate and he's a different dude.

I still like him for what he is. I dn't really expect him to "go back " becuz moving backwards doesn't really make sense. I know everyone hated REBIRTH but I didn't because it was something DIFFERENT. I'd rather see an artist continually influx .... meaning, if an artist is always trying new things, some will be great and some shit, but it's all an interesting experiment to me. An artist that just plays it safe MIGHT always be great, but that's less interesting to me (see: Drake).
