If a developed nation with a healthcare system that's been consistently ranked as one of the best in the world is resorting to this... Christ on a stick!

This is not that much of a big deal as it seems, well yeah it is if you're there, but still.

In the Netherlands we indeed have good healthcare, but we do have a limited amount of IC units that are equipped to take care of the Covid-19 patients. And in Germany there is a surplus of them. Also during the previous pandemic some patients were moved from NL to Germany, and as well as from other countries e.g. Italy.
