hahaha, theyre sooooo fucking bad. that new record got tons of good reviews too by the usual suspects, pitchfork, filter, magnet, etc... indie rock is dead as fucking dead. indie used to just mean independent, no matter what the sound. big black was indie, husker du was indie, the youth, minor threat, etc... but now sadly, when i hear the term indie rock to describe a new band, i think of a new, boring, U2 type guitars, arctic monkeys band. to find good music these days, we have to dig deeper into the underground than ever before. which i dont mind by any means, but it does suck that 10 years from now, besides the people who were listening to really out there stuff, will be saying, man the 00's sucked dick for music.
