More information about this project has now surfaced: It's a collection of new Master Musicians of Jajouka recordings and remixes, with participation by John Zorn, Medeski Martin & Wood, Flea, Lee Ranaldo, and others. It is called "The Road to Jajouka" and it comes out through Howe Records on September 10th. Details and link to pre-order from amazon can be found here:
