The immigration red herring is working extremely well. racists love to fear brown people, especially when they speak 2, 3 or 4 languages as opposed to ignorant gringos and their "english."
100 years ago the exact same thing was happening but it was the Irish and Italians and Greeks and Slavs that were immigrating to US and not considered white by the anglo cracker overlords...(Trump's grandpa was one of these immigrants stealing american jobs.)
