see, your construction "apprenticeship" served you well! congrats.

a lot of people end up with college and even graduate degrees and no idea whatsoever about what to do with them--except the loans are now staring down at them.

youth jobs are what provide the experience but there isn't always a match and many internships in one's field are unpaid-- which not everyone can afford to have.
