I'm dyslexic and have a really hard time with directions. When I first was driving, my friends would direct me not with word like "right" or "left" but by referring to the name of whoever was on the right/left side of the car. Once, when my mom was sitting with us, it got kinda awkward.

my friends, directing me from the back seat:

"Take a Barbara!"
"No, take a Rachel!"
"What the hell are you talking about? Rachel isn't straight!"
