Havant and Waterlooville face the unimaginable prospect of a day trip to Anfield next Saturday to face European football giants Liverpool in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Tonight’s replay with Swansea City saw the Hawks beat the League One leaders 4-2, taking an unassailable lead as early as the fourth minute when Richard Pacquette pressured defender Gary Monk into heading the ball into his own net.

Jamie Collins and Rocky Baptiste followed to put the Hawks into an unthinkable 3-0 lead, before Guillem Bauza’s 20 yard strike pulled one back for the Swans six minutes from the break. The Hawks’ lead looked set to diminish further before half time when Bauza was sent tumbling in the box, but keeper Kevin Scriven pulled off an immaculate match-turning save to deny Leon Britton’s spot kick.

The visitors did manage to pull back another goal straight after the restart when Jason Scotland swept home an Andy Robinson cross, but Tom Jordan’s 64th minute header ensured the Hawks will remain in dreamland for another round yet.

Oh, you beauties!!!!!

One of the best football matches I've ever been to. The atmosphere at that match outdid just about any premiership stadium you might care to mention. Given half a chance I'll be up at Anfield for the fourth round, and back at Havant when we bring them scousers back down for the replay
