The music can be a little primitive, but
Marika Papagika left a legacy of
Greek folk music,
rembetika, and light popular music that is unrivaled by very few artists of the day. David Soffa did an excellent job of picking out her most popular recordings primarily from the late 1920's. This is a priceless look at Greek Music in the United States during the 1920's.
