a band's decline does not translate into it's prior fans becoming "hipsters". if anything, it's the "hipsters" that tend to follow what's become "fashionable" vs. what's worthwhile listening to. note: if I hear the term "industry darlings" one more time, I might reboot.

when you (and by you, I mean, a band) find a way to completely alienate yr original fan-base, it's time to reassess yr art. then again, lots of people place higher importance on money than I do.
