CD's - need baby-soft care to prevent scratches, heat damage,data rot.
digital files - need constant backing up, plus updating of playback software, plus updating of playback devices as obsolescence is built into the format.
records - keep upright, in sleeve. you can play them for a hundred years.
if your ALL HANDS LP is skipping then it is either due to mishandling, or a production error. sux man.
