autechre was so fucking awesome. i still can't believe it
rob hall began the night with 2 hours of techno dj set, he was really good and rocking. People were enjoying themselves. When he played Freak by LFO it was like yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
then he stopped at 1am, and without a break the lights were turned off and BOOM CLAP BOOM CLAP BOOM CLAP BOOM CLAP autechre went on with a straight rhythm. And then it was pure madness, insane rhythms everywhere, evolving, sounds coming in from the chaos. People were really into it. The venue was completely full, it was unbelievably hot in there. They were really MINDBLOWING. I think they may have really enjoyed the gig too, since the first bootlegs from the tour were 60/65 minutes long, and they were supposed to play 60 minutes on the schedule , yet they played 75 mins... Yeah, fantastic. One of the best gigs I've been to in my life

Then Didjit played a DJ set based on dancehall and old school hip hop, it was mostly fun
And then Russell Haswell was disappointing, I was expecting a blasting wall of sound set, and while the beginning was overawesome, for some reason after that he played some vaguely glitchy 90s hardcore techno and it was not really interesting...
But overall it was a fantastic night. Damn.
