I see short girls walking around with lanky blokes all the time in town. It's a comical sight, and a modern phenomenon. I read it's psychological based on their feelings of intimidation and anxiousness when around taller people. They delude themselves that other people must feel the same way, thinking they can get away with a lot more and get less aggro off others if they're with a much taller person. I think the term for it is "sex for security".
