there's a lot of black metal that draws pretty heavily on bands that people here are very into, there was an interview posted on the forum a few months back where thurston moore talks about how black metal musicians have told him about SY's influence on their music, etc. so, my point is is that listening to anaal nathrakh is not dissimailar to listening to big black, listening to ildjarn is not dissimilar to listening to discharge, blut aus nord to sonic youth, botulistum to the butthole surfers, and so forth.
