i briefly spent a year in fairfax county in the 90s (i was new in the country, i had family there) but then i swiftly fled for the district and never looked back.

i like to go back to dc when i can, but it's been some 3 years since i've relocated to new mexico. so i'm nowhere near where you live.

 

oh yeah. that's a big cultural advantage right there.
