pffft-- the original star trek was pretty damn good stuff. if you allow for a moderate suspension of disbelief, it presents some pretty interesting situations and the characters are great and there's plenty of humor.

the art direction in particular, fucking amazing--- they've recently restored the film reels in all their glorious orange/purple hues.
