Are the reflections based entirely on the mostly negative stigma held not just in north america where I live, but in the exact area that I live? I've gotta wonder about it. If I'm purposely going out of my way to have a bunch to drink precisely because I need an escape from the incessant dirge of brain function (whether or not it is intelligent brain function is beside the point ) as Glice mentioned, is that okay? Would I spend less time examining something so inconsequential if I lived in the UK?

I think the stigma here has to do with the general obsession people have with avoiding death.

ni'k does have some worthwhile questions, they can be posed casually and objectively.
