Yeah. A good rule at the very least is don't sign
anything until you know exactly what it entails. Also, over-referenced and outfate or not, it might be of interest to read
this, if you haven't already.
As to specific label recommendations, all I can really say is that aiming smaller is probably wiser until you're in a position to actually have some leverage when dealing with anyone bigger...
