Goth is the logical evolution of spotty socially inept teens who hung out in Games Workshop. It attracts geeks like no other subculture I have dabbled my furry little toes into. I however tend to know the Goths who're involved in it musically, not because it all looks a bit 'evil'. But then I always know the beautiful people........ ahem! They tend to be patronisingly receptive to those that turn up having never heard of goth, musically. This isn't the case with everyone...
At a Goth club at London Bridge once a young guy strolled in on his own wearing a full length cloak. Even in a subculture that embraces dressing like a bell-end, a few drunken gother-than-thou types started picking on him. Whilst he'd quite obviously mistaken a Goth club for a fantasy roll-playing game, he didn't derserve to have "it's about the music ya twat!" shouted at him and be threatened with being burnt from the cloak up.
