Exactly: Cult hit. DVD/VHS sales don't factor in that much overall, since it's so expensive to produce DVD's (taking into account the cases and the artwork and the discs themselves), but I'm sure it made a small profit when all is said and done, especially after the double-dip "director's cut" (aka "same movie but longer and with the good music replaced") came out...

 

Has anyone seen this movie?

It's so awful that it's hilarious. I mean, Jared Leto and Gylennhaal alone are two of the worst actors ever, so you kinda know what you're getting into. There is a weird hippie dude who looks like Weird Al, and then there's an acid trip scene in the graveyard which is 5 minutes of the characters running around and screaming. Adding to the awfulness is a bizarre subplot about Kurt Cobain's suicide (no kidding! The climax of the film takes place at Kurt's "mourning" where Courtney read his suicide note!).
