I don't hate them, they're just very bland to me. That one song where they dance around half-naked on the beach is kind of catchy I suppose. The Electric Eel one where they dance around half-naked in the jungle is pretty much just annoying though.

Besides, I'm not a very big fan of synth pop. The only two modern/current acts that have caught my attention and I have actually enjoyed, who focus heavily on synths, organs, etc.... are Mates of State and Santogold. They make good (occasionally diverse) pop music. MGMT are really dull next to those two bands, imo.
