In case anyone should be tragic enough to be interested, the answer was (e), none of the above, though (b) & (c) are good guesses. (a) is, frankly, risible.
The actual reason is probably far duller and more long-winded than anything I can be arsed with at 2135 on a Sunday when I've got a cunt of a headache.
