Since posting here, my grandma has died and my aunt has died, both incredibly difficult things... I still occassionally posted around those times, but I feel like I post here for fun and to get my mind off things, you know? Plus, even though I know it's well-intentioned, I don't really know what to say when people say they're sorry or that they're thinking about me or that I'm in their hearts or they're praying for me... you know, except for "thanks".
So, I try to keep death off of here.

That was a hard one for me to deal with too, what to say when people offer condolences. I learned just to say thank you, and I realized they're doing it either because they genuinely feel sorry for me or they're simply uncomfortable and don't know what else to say. In either case, by simply saying "thank you" you relieve them and yourselves of any awkwardness.
