I've never been much of a one for retaliating, but I've been twatted more times than is particularly healthy. I tend to be able to smell fights now, so I can avoid them. Haven't been punched for 3 years or so now.
I've seen some fucking brilliant fights though. Wonderful things to watch, in the right circumstances. There's a few places semi-locally that 'host' episodic bare-knuckle things.
Still - violence ain't hip kids.
