If we're talking Riley then his 1971 album with John Cale, "Church Of Anthrax", is absolutely incredible. I mean really, like one of my favourites. It runs the gamut from cyclical organ and piano jams to beautiful floating multi-tracked soprano sax improvisations and a lot in between, but it’s actually all surprisingly accessible. Pretty damn dreamy in places too, so even if it’s not quite in the whole shoegazey/guitar vein of a lot of the other recommendations in this list, I heartily suggest that you make sure to put that on your list Derek.
